Now in its 9th year, Brasil Summerfest is the largest contemporary Brazilian music & arts festival in the world outside of Brazil. The Street Fair + Block Party has become one of the festival’s most popular events with thousands of people taking in the sun, enjoying Brazilian food and dancing to samba. The Street Fair + Block Party is a one day only event and is full of fun, energy and exploration.
You can expect to find some of the finest Brazilian food vendors in the city serving up churrasco (Brazilian BBQ), tapioca, samba bowls (creation by Berimbau), feijoada (classic stew), pão de quejio, açai delights, acarajé, brigadeiros and a variety of product vendors from beach wear to handmade soaps. And lots of music. It’s a block party after all!

Tupi Collective is made up of Marcus Freitas and Wallace Rosa, two DJs and vinyl collectors who have been spreading Brazilian music and rocking dance floors all over Montreal, Canada since 2012. From samba to reggea, to hip-hop to forró, and an amalgamation of new and old school Brazilian rhythms, they mix a diaspora of styles in their sets taking the audience to a full blown tropical journey.
Batala New York is an all women Afro-Brazlian that perform their thunderous samba reggae. Their music, costumes and drums all originate from Salvador, Bahia. The percussion group is part of a global arts project made up of over 30 bands around the world. The group surely knows how to fire up a crowd!
