Minority Report is taking over the fair this weekend highlighting and showcasing artists of Color
EVENT DETAILS
Hester Street Fair, over nine years, has established itself as the go-to jumping-off point for brands, businesses, and restaurants based in NYC who are looking to promote and build their consumer base by way of a seasonal pop-up. Thus, true-to-form, on Saturday July 28th, we are continuing to fuel the spirit of local entrepreneurship with a brand new iteration of one of our themed weekend events. Alongside a few of our venerable regular vendors, this specific Saturday street fair will be standing in support of Minority Report, the NYC-based art collective focused on highlighting and showcasing artists of Color, and connecting those artists with children and teens interested in expanding their understanding of the arts.
This weekend, Hester Street Fair is bringing out an array of talented artists from all five boroughs who will debut their work with a site-specific pop-up show, presented alongside a series of vendors curated by the collective selling products. Minority Report will also be hosting a professional photography workshop for local youths, lead by major industry figures from fashion (Zora Sicher) to documentary (Juan Camillo), to East Village staple Andrew Straub, and Edward Salas who first rose to fame for his artful representation of Latinx identity.
Not only will this weekend event be eye-opening, (and educational), but it will be bolstered by exciting live DJ sets from a diverse group of NYC locals. The Fair will be concluded with a performance from David Elkin-Ginnetti, DJ and saxophonist.
