EVENT DETAILS
Hester Street Fair proudly presents our new special event, New Creators Market – Push It Forward. This specialty market is a collaboration between Hester Street Fair X Cliff Creative Projects. The vision is to showcase an array of our favorite creatives throughout NYC who inspire us daily and are all around DOPE. These are people who are “pushing the needle forward” in terms of craftsmanship, style, community building, and entrepreneurship. We want to celebrate their work when summer is still hot and spicy, and in true Hester Street Fair fashion, we’re bringing everyone together under the trees of classic Seward Park. This day is extra, extra special too as we have a full day of DJs and live performances.
Special Features
Fool’s Gold Booth – Fool’s Gold brought us Sammy Bananas to DJ our fair and are also bringing through their label’s merch! Catch Sammy’s set at 12pm and grab their goods while you’re at it.
Manual Photobooth – The makers behind NYC’s disposable camera collective are bringing a curation a zines shot by young photographers, along with a restock of the Manual x Cliff cameras. They’re setting up a red seamless in the booth too to take portraits to be developed same day at their photo lab on Delancey.
“Dream Room” Installation – Artists Sarah Coleman, Sam Crow, and Abigail Bell have come together to build a “Dream Room” installation combining each of their art. With Sarah’s luxury seating, Sam’s hand tufted rugs, and Abigail’s home vintage, this room without a doubt is something to see. Also, it’s shoppable!
Screen printing with DuGood Press – Watch Leslie Diuguid in action with a live screen printing session all throughout the fair. She’ll be making tote bags to commemorate our event and you can get one for free with a purchase! A portion of her sales are always donated to charity.
Hat-making with Yudai Kanayama – Restaurateur Yudai Kanayama (Izakaya/Samurice, Hanon, Davelle, Dr.Clark) is making his signature tulip hats (wavy bucket hats) on site. Buy one that’s pre-made or bring your old clothes and he’ll do a custom order. He loves to use original details of the clothing on the hats too (pants pockets, buttons) and crazy patterns.
