Join us in the park for our final day of the season, Closing Day! We can’t believe it, the season is over— seriously how did the time go oh so fast? We laughed, we cried, we enjoyed every Saturday with you, and now we must say goodbye. Help us close the gate, wipe up the tears, and reminisce the amazing memories we made this spring, summer, and fall right here at Hester Street Fair. We will party like it’s 1999 (or at least like its still the beginning of summer), you won’t want to miss it.
Round K coffee, for free!
Breezy Hill Orchard apple cider!
Fort Makers presents Monster Mashup – Collage! This activity is open to all of our visitors who would like to participate in fabric and magazine cut-out collage making throughout the day.
Mari Mac Dowell – From Rio, to Sao Paulo, and now NYC, Mari Mac Dowell is bringing her worldly mix of music right our fair.
Nice Groove – Our house DJ Nice Groove, aka Wyatt Owens, is bringing back his turntables and is putting on the ultimate dance party.
Zebra Blood – Nathan Corbin is one of the two blissed-out brainchildren of Colorado-born, NYC-based duo known for their epic reggae parties in apartments, abandoned restaurants, and just any corner of Brooklyn.
On The Menu
Cooley’s BBQ – We’ve fallen in love with the whole Cooley family, but only after we fell in love with their food. Ribs, chicken, cornbread, and a special mac n’ cheese. Mmm! A perfect meal for Closing Day.
Rosey’s Jamaican – The best of the best Jamaican food you’ll find in all of the Lower East Side. Her booth is a staple at Hester Street Fair and although she took some weeks off from us this season, there was no way she would miss us on the last day. P.S. She now offers crab legs.
M.A.D. Toast – These Asian style thick-cut toasts come sweet and also savory. Each one of those is toasted to a golden brown and topped with homemade custards that are inspired by different cultures around the world.
Bak.d Bakery – Super stuffed cookies with a taste of nostalgia! Bak.d has made a real name for themselves at the fair and how could they not? Their cookies range from marshmellow filling to peanut butter and jelly filling to homemade sprinkle icing, as filling! Let these cookies blow your mind and taste buds away.
Elaine’s Sweets – After the success of our first vegan fair, we were introduced to the phenomenal Jacqueline Gibson who heads Elaine’s Sweets. What’s our favorite on her menu? The vegan cinnamon rolls with that sweet icing glazed on top. It’s the perfect Fall dessert.
Chris Chappell – An artist who uses a range of mixed media creating sculptures of various materials. From smashed vintage guitars, paper, wood, leather, glass mosaics, and gilded dinosaur bones.
Downtown 304 – A record distribution shop specializing in dance music, our favorite genre! There’s gonna be a lot to choose from though so get ready to dig and bring a big bag to carry all your selections back home.
Everyone’s Mother – A new vendor to our market, Everyone’s Mother focuses on creating objects that blur the line between traditional craft and art using zero-waste methods with natural or recycled fibers.
Janky Vintage – Supplying a collection of unique designer vintage finds as well as funky, more affordable clothing and accessories.
Ty Stephano – Emerging atelier with a no holds barred aesthetic is getting his first tent ever with Hester Street Fair.
